Thatgirl Magazine Programs were created to develop inner-city disadvantage youth ages 13-17 in low income communities guidance to become the next generation of America’s top influential political leaders, business leaders, community leaders, and entrepreneurs. Our programs will give direction to our youth to prepare them at a young age for their future careers and purpose for life. We will introduce the youth to individuals who have come from their similar backgrounds that have achieved successful careers. We will expose them to men and women who are our current leaders and decision-makers in our cities throughout the nation. The purpose of our programs is to give our youth a “future and a hope.”
Our vision is to help the inner-city youth to discover their purpose and future careers and to influence them to pursue prominent positions in our society as leaders and decision-makers. Thatgirl Programs will offer leadership development to train teens 13-17 to build confidence, ability, and talent.
Leadership Day received a certificate of recognition from Senator Mark Ridley-Thomas for inspiring African-American youth to pursue leadership careers and dedication service and contribution to the youth in our community. Leadership Day was also featured in the Los Angeles Sentinel for empowering teens, and in Our Weekly newspaper.
